The Fremont Fire Department is a full-time department with 24 career firefighters and two Administrative Chiefs serving 16,677 residents in an 8.4 square mile area.  There are two stations within the City; the Central Fire Station located on the west side of the Sandusky River and the East Side Fire Station on the east side of the river.

The City of Fremont’s ISO rating is 3.
