Aggregation
City Electric Aggregation Program
Residential Aggregation Fixed Rate is $.0468/kWh
Commercial Aggregation Fixed Rate is $.0468/kWh
The City of Fremont has teamed up with Energy Harbor (formerly known as FirstEnergy Solutions) to provide the residents with an Electric Aggregation program that will still be billed by AEP Ohio. During the Opt-Out Period, all residents not under contract are automatically placed in the program unless they specifically request to opt-out. There is no cost for enrollment. As members of the program, residents and commercial accounts are billed a fixed rate of $.0468/kWh from August 2021 to July 2025.
The Energy Harbor rate will replace the AEP Ohio “Price to Compare”. The Price to Compare consists of by-passable generation and transmission related components, which are the charges associated with the costs for purchased power and to deliver the power through the transmission system.
If you are not part of the program after August 2021 and wish to join, please contact Energy Harbor at the number below. Enrollment takes approximately 30-45 days depending upon your meter read date. If you have any questions regarding this program or would like to know how it will affect your electric bill, please contact Energy Harbor directly at 866-636-3749 or by visiting their website at energyharbor.com.
No Cancellation Fees in New Term
There is no cancellation fee for leaving the program through July 2025. Every 3 years the program offers an opt-out period where residents may leave the program. Notices will be sent to members of the program regarding the opt-out period.
