We, as a city, are doing our very best to support our locally owned small businesses/organizations that have faced unprecedented economic disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am pleased to announce that last evening Fremont City Council approved the use of up to $100,000 of Federal CARES Act funds for the new City of Fremont Small Business Relief Program.
This program will provide eligible small businesses with up to $5,000 to cover business interruption expenses due to COVID-19. Eligible businesses/organizations must have less than $1 million in gross annual revenue, have 30 or fewer employees or 1099 workers as of March 27, 2020, and have experienced a decrease in gross revenue of 30% or more.

Applications will be received until 4:00 pm on October 1, 2020.
The application selection will be by random draw if the total number of applications submitted exceeds the $100,000 allotment, rather than on a first‐come‐first‐served basis.
